<PETA'S at it again>

Copied from PETA Online News:

In the series premiere of Survivor, viewers were sickened to watch as
Richard, the paunchy 39-year-old corporate trainer and consultant, proudly
pulled a rat out of a trap and killed the animal for dinner. Last night's
episode featured the Pagong "tribe" giggling as they tried clubbing rats to
death. Later members gushed about their fondness for the rats' roasted flesh
while chatting about future slaughters. Meanwhile, Tagi "tribe" member
Richard was all smiles as he speared three sea creatures who flopped around
helplessly in his wire basket.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's not the act of killing one's dinner but the lack of reverence with
which it is done that troubles me.    It's also a bit disconcerting that
because of a perceived need to protect one's choices and beliefs against the
judgements of PETA, PETA's reaction has been looked upon with ridicule by
some here.
We get what we give...
