That sounds like good advice; we don't want to get too preachy.

I have a friend who is diabetic, and also, I think a vegetarian.  I
suggested to her a while ago that the paleo diet might help her, but she'd
have to give up things like rice and beans and potatoes; and she said that
that's all she eats!  She also said that anyone who thought a low-carb diet
could help her, didn't really understand diabetes.  That kind of stumped
me, because I sure don't have much expertise.  She said that there is more
than one kind of diabetes, and that paleo food might be helpful for the
other kind, but not what she's got.

If anyone could help me with some good "talking points" :^? to change her
mind, I'd appreciate it.  (I did make note of that LC-DIABETES mailing list
that someone just posted.)
