You describe colorfully how such a animal can be exploited fully.
I think today getting fat isn't the big problem as very good fatty plants
are available (nuts, hemp, sunflowers, avocado, olives...) -
I don't mention animal fat of todays domestic animals which have is 20-40%
in meat, because i think it's unhealthy unless supplemented properly.

I wondered how savannah dwellers could get enough fat when eating the high
meat diet many use to propose for early hominids.
Youl may recall that many no-protein calories would be necessary to keep the
protein calories below the toxic level of 35%. That requires fat.
I think the experts should provide an explanation for this.

The question is, in a savannah (where hominds evolved, not in northern snowy
regions) and with paleolithic technology, how much of the fat could be
eaten.
Homo erectus didn't have pots to boil in the skin for hours.
(skin has much of the fat).

The facts visible up to now forbid eating carcass (especially muscle-meat)
above a certain percentage. Energy is the bottleneck.
Living *on* big game is a story of the north and that was after 40000y BC
for our anchestors if they came out of africa. Which is probable.

Nice idea of the bird, to get the powerful marrow.
That's the fat *in* the bones, not from the bones.
If i interpret Cordaine's Kangaroo table correctly, it appears that the bone
material itself has much more fat as is in the marrow.

As marrow is listed itself, bone has much more.
How can one get the fat from the bone?
Bone is made of calcium, of protein and apparently of fat.
I haven't heared of a way to eat this.
