I have yet to see precisely where this is shown to be true (maybe
someone can cut and paste the precise proof). I'm not even sure
I know what it means. There have been several urban legends from off-beat
sources about fast-food beef like McDonalds.

This doesn't have much impact on me practically anyway. I know if
I'm stuck in an airport and need food, the only source for meat
sometimes is McDonalds, so I get 5 or 6 hamburgers and throw away
the bun. The modern hunter-gatherer, using his wits,
sometimes has to take what he can :-).
