The best thing is to read and follow one of the reputable lowcarb plans,
and just modify it to include only paleo legal foods (not terribly
difficult).

The two most popular very LC plans are "Dr. Atkins's New Diet
Revolution," and "Protein Power." The authors of Protien Power (who are
also friends of Ray Audette), have written a later book called "The
Protein Power Lifeplan," which is virtually a complete "lowcarb paleo"
plan in itself.

The best thing I can tell you about this is to forget about your goal.
No, it's not that you can't lose the 10 pounds, but it's quite possible
that even if you're properly following the perfect plan for you, you
still might not meet that TIME goal. Your real goal should be to find
the right plan for you, and make it a true way of life. You will then
see all the health improvements in their own time, and you'll get to KEEP
them too.

Is 10 pounds in a month possible? Yup... if you weigh 300 pounds, and
are currently eating a "normal" high carb diet, you could easily "lose"
10 pounds in the first week of a very lowcarb plan (even though most of
that will be "water"). But if you're in pretty good shape, and ONLY have
about 10 pounds to lose, and you're already following a paleo lifestyle,
then it's unlikely you'll lose 10 pounds of fat that quickly. Of course
there's always room for individual differences in metabolism, but what I
describe is pretty much typical.

You can find more information on lowcarb in general on my Low
Carbohydrate FAQ. It features a small amount of info about paleo (and
links to the major paleo sites), but its main focus is on lowcarb.
