One of my friends who was interested in paleodiet told me about this book
she used to feed her dogs- Give Your Dog A Bone by Dr Ian Billinghurst,
veterinary surgeon, Lithgow Australia.
He describes the severe effects of "modern" "scientific" diets on dogs- wow,
even worse than those on humans. (I criticise "scientific" only because pet
foods aren't usually designed by science but economic factors).
I've just started reading it- hey the man's another Ray. Very interesting.
Dog's needs are a bit different from ours, and having tackled it from a
different angle there a lot of insights that I hadn't thought about before.
I'll contact him and find out if he knows there's a human version!
If you've got a fat or sick dog or one with bad teeth, look up the sites
below.
