Trish Tipton asked:

Yes. The tiny black seeds are edible, and very nutritious. They provide
protein, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and niacin. Napoleon used them to
make bread for his army when other food was scarce. Collect them in late
autumn, as one would for Amaranth. (From Steve Brill's book.)

Don.
