The topic of evolution just won't go away. Some say it doesn't apply to
humans. Some say it has stopped. Some say that their religion supports
Intelligent Design. The article Dedy linked to offers us an alternative
perspective. I'd like to call it "Divine Design" (DD). What drives the DD
process is who survives to reproduce and how many of their children survive
to reproduce, and so on. Traits of groups that are at a reproductive
disadvantage will be diminished while the traits of those who enjoy a
reproductive advantage will come to dominate. Since female beauty enjoys a
selective advantage (see Dedy's link:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/science/article6727710.ece) then
women will become more and more beautiful. I think that is a Divine Design.
(If reincarnation really happens, I'd like to come back and check out the
results in a few more generations.)

Although something of a superficial and subjective paradigm, DD might offer
a more light-hearted approach to our division in thinking on this list.
Those who oppose evolution could interpret the word "divine" as indicative
of a divinity who ordains and supervises the process of human change. Those
of us who believe that evolution is a natural process that is shaping us to
fit our environment can think of "divine" as reflecting the increasing
aesthetic appeal of women.

Since puberty, I have always thought that women are divinely designed, so
the concept is absolutely congruent with my beliefs.

Best Wishes to all,
Ron

P.S.
Please do not take offense. This is not a shot at anyone's beliefs (but I
can see why someone might think it is) and the foregoing is aimed purely at
having some fun with this topic.
