We're getting now to the definition of a "paleo food." For a foodstuff to be paleo we would have had to consume the it -- or something very closely related to it -- for long enough and with a sufficient percentage of population.  

So it's easy to show that, for instance, cow meat is paleo.  It's closely related to animals we would have preyed upon.  Coffee and chocolate are more problematic, IMHO.
