Hi Amadeus;

Actually I do use my "teeth" now for my flax seed meal which I add to my
pancake mix every morning. I use a coffee grinder to make the batter which
comprises buckwheat (kasha) whole oat kernels, one Omega 3 egg and skim
milk. I grind the flax seeds to a meal and add them which helps brown the
pancakes. Every morning I make a fresh new batch to be eaten right away.

Although, according to the Flax Council of Canada website
(http://www.flaxcouncil.ca/), flax can be cooked and the nutrients are
apparently not lost, I still am a little concerned that the heating may
effect some of the flax, so that is why I was curious about using another
source for it - plus other seeds that may contain w6 EFAs (I am getting
plenty of w3s just now).

I did locate some oil presses on the web, but they are rather large for home
use. Hopefully someone will make a counter-top model one day much like those
grain mills that I see all over on the net.

Talk to you later,

Marilyn
