Something that is often overlooked is that the more body fat we carry, 
the more our fat cells produce the enzyme aromatase.  This enzyme has 
the unfortunate effect of converting testosterone to estradiol, a potent 
form of estrogen.  This indeed contributes to insulin resistance.
