The second link at www.PaleoDiet.com, which is the logical address of
my
link page (hey Ray how come this isn't what is in your book?), has
Ward
Nicholson's article on the history of our diet. That's the best that I
can
think of.

If you want a book with lots of genetics and heavy stuff you have
Crawford
and Marsh's _Nutrition and Evolution_. But it will be more into
vitamins
and minerals than the foods eaten. I haven't finished it yet. It
remains to
be seen if the book is a complete sellout, as _Paleolithic
Prescription_
was. In that book they end up recommending exactly the same low-fat
diet
that was the fad when written. Maybe even lower fat, as they recommend
60%
carbs, 20% fat, and 20% protein. Then they recommend skim milk and
whole
grain breads. The concept of foreign proteins doesn't exist. I
consider
_Paleolithic Prescription_ nothing but an historical curiosity.

Don.
