I was told years ago by a shoe salesman that in a crate of 24 pairs of
women's shoes, there's only one size 10.  This may not be the case today or
at other stores, but ask any woman who wears size 10 or above and she'll
confirm it; the pickin's are slim!  The salesman said manufacturers are
going on decades-old information on what sizes women wear.  I'd bet the farm
on that.  Believe it or not, I have the best luck finding size 11 shoes at
T.J. Maxx.  Whether I wear size 10 or 11 depends on the brand, but more
often than not size 11 fits better.  American women are evolving into taller
(and firmer in foundation) creatures than we were in the past.

By the way, fellow Coloradan Betty Ann (whom I've met in person) told me
privately that she wouldn't guess my weight to be what I reported. God bless
