hi Kirk,
yes, i think the WW mag caved to popular nutrition. i never spoke to Sarah
Rush. i was contacted by Sharon Gold, who told me she was a writer for WW
mag. she said she had found my name while reading the PaleoFood archives,
and wanted to interview me about my diet for the magazine. we exchanged
emails, and she called me on the phone several times, wanting to know about
what i ate, how i cooked, etc. i told her my diet was/is mostly red meat,
with chicken and turkey once in a while to break the monotony. i DID NOT
tell her i try to eat lean meat, in fact, i told her the opposite, that i
mostly eat the cheap fatty kinds, like chuck roast and chicken thighs. i
also eat large quantities of nuts, which she completely didn't mention, and
i told her while you can eat pretty much unlimited vegetables, you can't eat
more than one or two fruits a day, or weight loss will slow/stop (at least,
that's how it works in my personal experience with NeanderThin).
if she had indeed read the PaleoFood archives, she would have known that the
sample diet they presented was not one in accordance with NeanderThin. i
was also upset they didn't mention NeanderThin, since i told her this was
the guidebook for the diet.
i was very disappointed in how the WW mag article turned out.

JoAnn.
