Actually there are two ways of keeping your caloric intake low and not be
ravenously hungry:

(1) Stay in ketosis.

(2) Follow the Zone Diet.   The Zone Diet is very specifically designed to avoid
hunger, in fact it involves raising and lowering your carb intake until you find
the point where you don't get hungry for 4 hours following a meal.
