Their recommendations will also change slowly
enough so that industry can stay profitable.
They will never come out and say, "Avoid Twinkies
because they're bad for you" because that would
injure a specific segment of industry. Out
come the lawyers demanding proof that Twinkies
are harmful, and all even the purest of USDA
scientists could point to is evidence suggesting
that it is so.

Remember that the "A" in USDA is for Agriculture,
a distinctly neolithic, non-Paleofood activity.
Of course we eat mostly from agriculture, but the
premise of Paleodiet dictates that much of
agriculture's output is inedible & incompatible.
Paleodiet then becomes a matter of awareness
& choosiness, not merely dietary dogma.
