hi Jane,
just climb right back onto that paleo horse.
anyways, how i deal with the sugar thing is, i've found i can't do much more
than 50 g carbs n a day. the more carbs i eat, the more i want to eat,
until i'm in an out of control cycle. and this works on paleo sugars
(fruit) as well as non-paleo sugars. sugar is sugar.
the best way i deal with is is to completely cut out carbs for 2-3 days, eat
nothing but meat, veggies, water, until i feel i'm in ketosis. this seems
to break the cycle. then i can go back to having one or two fruits a day.
and i can get away with having more in the summer, i think because the
fruits i eat are lighter (melon, grapes, berries) and also i am more active
in the summer (walks, biking, lawnmowing, gardening).
good luck to you!

JoAnn.
