Unfortunately my body does not cope well with any sugars, even (sort of) paleo ones. I can't even eat fruit, except for small amounts of berries, although I have been doing a lot of lactic fermented vegetables and plan to try out some fruit chutneys, on the grounds that the sugars will have been converted to lactic acid.

So I try to minimize any sweeteners, but have satisfied myself - I don't intend to try to convince anyone else - that for occasional use stevia and sucralose (I'm still not sure about erythritol and my metabolism, but it is produced by a natural fermentation process) are the least harmful.

Thanks for your input.
