I would second that, to a certain extent. I'm new to Paleo, but have been
interested in years in various natural diets, i.e., ones that recommend you
eat local food based on your climate, since that would adapt your body to
your environment. For us in the Northeast, that would mean fresh veggies of
various types in the summer, and more root-type veggies in the winter, like
onions, turnips, beets, carrots, etc. Anything that our forebears could have
stored, as an example. After all, cave men (people?) didn't eat broccoli in
the dead of winter.

If you don't want to give up summer veggies in the winter, then a good
compromise is to buy fresh in the summer and frozen in the winter.
