I have a text book here which states that spinach contains large
amounts of
Oxalates, which interfere with mineral absorption, can cause renal
damage, and
in large amounts may be lethal. Ditto for rhubarb.

The same book gives the calcium content of some common foods.
Values are mg/100g edible portion.
