If someone can explain to me how to get around this annoyance, I would
appreciate it! It appears that when I enclose a statement with <<>>, the
words in between are sometimes deleted! So once again, the quote in question
appears below, in plain type:

A very active (athletic) person will need more carbohydrates than a sedenatry
one, and there are inborn differences as well.
