That's only one of the several interesting definitions, but
technically, I guess that makes the tongue an organ.

The tongue is a SENSORY organ, it senses flavors and textures and
temperatures.  That's a lot of work for one organ.

Anyone got a good recipe for beef tongue?  I am going to the abattoir
this
weekend.....  This trip I want some goodies for me, not just stuff for
the
dogs (my paleodogs eat bovine windpipes as an excellent source of
glucosamine, to build strong joints and then maintain them...)
