Here in politically correct western Mass. there are many
local organic farmers and much attention paid to being pure
and wholesome. The farmers market has tons of good stuff
all summer into the fall. So I eat local stuff all summer
because I know it's the least contaminated and because
I like to support local farmers. But it also means I am eating
greens and fruits that would have been available to pick. (We
also have a buffalo farm in town.) Frances
