Nice post. I see an advantage with the nuts...
Nuts grow on trees als they are. Ready edible.
Thats true paleolithic.

Pemmican has to be fabricated. And you can't fabricate too much
pemmican out of an animal because  there's not enough fat at the
kidneys or with most wild game.
And a given land can give much more nuts than animals
(if its not very northern).

I bet, if you start making vitamin comparisons, then
the nuts will compare even better.
Watch folic and B1.

I always keep some nuts or almonds with me.
