I do not use cast iron pans, because I don't want the extra
pro-oxidant iron. We use stainless steel. Neither choice is
paleo, of course, but of the two I prefer stainless. Iron
overload can be a problem.

I'm not aware of any body of scientific evidence that shows that
paleodiet reliably heals lupus, or MS, or any other autoimmune
condition. From what I see anecdotally on this list, some people
with these conditions get somewhat better on paleo, and some
don't. The conditions may not be invariably caused by diet in
the first place.

Your claim that your son is not autistic implies that you know
what causes autism, and that your son's issues were not caused by
that. But no one knows what causes autism. While I agree with
you that vaccination probably contributes to some cases, the fact
is that some kids become autistic who never get vaccinated, and
most who get vaccinated do not become autistic. If the cause
*was* vaccination, then why would you expect diet to cure it?

I think it's a great thing to use paleodiet as part of a plan to
improve health and well-being. But to suppose that it is, or
should be, a cure for all that ails us is to go way beyond what
we have any good reason to believe.
