If the liver stored toxins, it would be bigger than a moving van. It
filters, processes and neutralizes them; the kidneys remove the
unusable stuff and turn it into urine. Enlarged, sclerotic livers
result from an overload of toxins that the liver cannot manufacture
enough enzymes to break down on a steady basis.
