A-ha. If the soul (spirit) occupies physical space within our bodies (laced
between the atoms) then it is directly related to our physical bodies as
well as the "empty space" without. Who's to say it's not related to the
"empty space" throughout the universe?

That is all I mean. I believe primitive people had a much greater awareness
of such things. Think of all of the interference that we have today:
sensory-dulling diets and drugs, sensory-overloading technology, radidtion,
noise and other pollution. We often don't take that into account when we
wonder how ancient peoples "knew" what they "knew".
