Although it often branches out to encompass other paleo philosophies, I
seem to remember the founding principle behind this list was the support of
those following the Neanderthin diet. So, technically, the answer is yes,
we do. The one thing that really bothers me on this list (I love this
list, don't take me the wrong way; I think it's 95% great!) is when people
make recommendations to others that have no basis in Neanderthin, or even
paloelithic diet. (I've seen lots of posts that would have been at home on
the low-carb list, but don't make sense here.) This simply is not the
forum for that. It seems to happen fairly often, and I'm guessing that
it's coming from people who haven't read the book. I'm not against a
little healthy discussion, and I'm not going to say that people shouldn't
be allowed to join the list unless they've read the book, but IMHO if
you're going to join a list about a book that you haven't read, then maybe
you should lurk until you've read the book. Otherwise, the waters get
muddied, newbies get confused, and arguments get started. None of which
has to happen here...

Of course, it's not my list, and Grant could turn around and say I'm full
of sugar and wheat... Anyway, Grant's exact words are:

"This is a SUPPORT list for those interested in a Paleolithic Style Diet
such as described in "NEANDERTHIN" by Ray Audette."

I guess that might be open to interpretation.

My $0.02,
John Pavao

PS - flames to private e-mail rather than the list, please.

Do we always eat what is safe and healthy? DO WE ALWAYS AGREE ON WHAT IS
SAFE AND HEALTHY? DO WE? Even on this list?
