I just got the neanderthin book. I will make a few comments before asking
my question

1: Although I got the jist of the diet from various net and mailing list
readings, and thus am pretty much following the diet, I still am happy to
have bought the book. Nice to have stuff on paper I guess.

2: [more to Ray then others] I found the book could have done more
selling of why we should eat this way. Seemed more to preach to the
converted then to sway someone over to a new WOE. Perhaps future editions
could have more on this

3: Refering to bad food as forbidden fruit is distracting considering
that fruit is OK in the diet. I understand [bible derived standard
english phase] but the choise of wording is not the best in this one case.

Overall, I would recomend the book to those following the diet via net
readings but haven't splurged for the book yet. One of about 30-40 books
that I plan on keeping [having sold hundreds in the last year].

As for the question. The book mentions ketosis as a way to speed up
weightloss. I tried it beforehand [power protien style] lost 20 odd
pounds in a bit over 2 weeks, then stalled completely for three [no waist
measurement changes either] then switched to a neanderzone thang.

I am wondering
1: Does anyone have a clue why I would lose weight really fast then have
it come to a stop, when I was till in ketosis and didn't change what I
was eating.
2: I am thinking of perhaps trying it again, go 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
or so. Maybe for me it only works for short periods of time. Any thoughts
on this idea?

When I went from PP to Zoneing, I didn't gain any weight back, nor did I
gain any weight back when I did it 6 months earlier [losing over 10
pounds] and went back to eating crap [bars, pizza etc].
