Just FYI-
From Vermont Country Store-
The paper catalog featured this product in a B/W illustration
showing the "HealthStep" (in CamelCase, no less), positioned in
front of the 'throne' with a human figure seated and leaning
forward with with feet on a sloped ottoman-like object. 

Suggested position, sort of like one might appear to be leaning
over and tying one's shoes from a footrest.
