Excessivly low cholesterol is closely linked to early death from many
causes. Also, it is linked to violence and criminal behavior. Really.
I read that in tthe local newspaper so it MUST be
true. ;--)

49 is so low as to constitute a dangerous disease state. 115 is close
to what is reported in some hunter/gatherer peoples. Cholesterol is a
vital constituent of many body tissues, it is dangerous to get it too
low. Sounds like you are on the right track.

By the way, I have heard anecdotal reports that vegetarians tend to be
prone to mental disease and emotional problems, possibly due to poor
brain function from low cholesterol, or B vitamin deficiencies. Does
anyone have any scientifically supported data on this?
