i'd just like to point out a caution here, for anyone contemplating a meat
only diet.  probably, nothing will happen to you short-term.  but to try it
as a long-term option could be dangerous.  well, maybe if you are of Inuit
heritage, you could do it, but i'm a generic northern european-type person,
and i speak from personal experience.

"Diverticular disease is named for the diverticuli, pea-sixed balloons
poking out through the muscular lining of the large intestines, which
characterize the disease. These little sacs are formed as the colon muscles
contract with greater and greater pressure in an attempt to move small,
low-fiber stools.
In a healthy colon, waste matter is moved along by waves of muscle
contractions.  When the colon is relatively full of soft material, the
muscles contract with little pressure to keep the waste moving.  The
opposite is true when the feces are small and hard.  Then the muscles must
squeeze.  In doing so, the tissues are strained and the bowel lining breaks
through at weak spots in the muscle lining.
The first symptom of this problem is usually persistent constipation.  As
time goes n, the little sacs tend to accumulate food particles and bacteria.
When the pockets become inflammed, more dramatic symptoms appear.  They may
include diarrhea alternating with constipation, nausea, abdominal swelling,
pain and cramping.  Complications can endanger the bladder, uterus and small
intestines.  Hemmorrhages can, in extreme cases, result in death."

i had this, after several months on a mostly meat diet.  i was under the
stupid mistaken impression that i pooped less because my body was utilizing
the nutrients in the meat so well and so completely that there wasn't much
to poop.  then i got really bad stomach pains, for several days, getting so
bad i couldn't stand up straight.  i had to go to the hospital, and be on
two kinds of antibiotics, for anaerobic bacteria, to clear it up.

suffice to say, i now eat mostly meat, but with alot of salad, greens and
veggies.  they are still low-carb.

just be careful.
