In the past, I've only had powdered kelp which I've sprinkled on foods.
Today I saw a package of bite-sized cut kelp and bought it because I'm having
some x-rays (which I usually try to avoid) tomorrow and read that kelp may
help with radiation exposure. I don't know if this is true or not, but what
is true is that the kelp tastes awesome. It also makes a nice low carb
snack. It does seem to have tons of iodine, so I won't overdo it -- but I'm
amazed at how delicious it is. Toasted spiced nori sheets are excellent too
-- but they are pre-seasoned with tamari, spices, salt, etc. The kelp is
just plain old dried kelp with no seasonings.
