Sorry for the delayed response -- I'm swimming in email.

I don't know for sure. It happened when I was 11 late in 1977 after
Christmas. My condition was documented but it was 5 years till it was given
the name Hemolytic Uremic Sydrome. They still had not a clue what caused it
is those days.

I have a vague memory of eating a hamburger at some place we had never been
after attending the original release of Star Wars. Both of my brothers had
onions on theirs but I didn't like onions in those days. I remeber there was
a lot of talk about the onions. I was extremely sick within a few days.

Wish I could remember more but the whole incident is kind of foggy and I
don't know how much detail you want.
