The consensus is that raw chicken, turkey, lamb or beef can
be safely fed to cats. Pork is generally not considered a
good food for cats, and probably dangerous raw. Raw food
cannot be fed to a cat is immune compromised.

You cannot leave raw meat at room temp for more than about a
half hour.
Of course it has to be very fresh--my cats won't even touch
raw meat that has the slightest odor.

Someone did a survey on the wellpet list, a list with lots
of raw feeders, and no one reported any problems, as far as
I can remember.
