Here's something I clipped from a publication called Conscious Choices, a
Chicago, IL, alternative press. This fun clip comes from "The Landed & The
Native: Why Have the Twain Ne'er Met? by author is Tamarack Song" a
Wilderness skills teacher and rites of passage guide. (Anyone miss out on
the ROP experience as a teenager?)
SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY INDIGENOUS PEOPLE (well, maybe a few more than
that...)
 1) Chronic home schooling 2) Obsessive respect for elders; 3) incorrigible
non-materialsim; 4) neglect development of Prodestant work ethic; 5) Cherish
the delusion that life is fun; 6) Maintain a naive tedency to trust; 7)
Avoid wearing watches; 8) Shamelssly addicted to meat; 9) Claim they've
never indulged in junk food, 10) Prefence for birthday suits over business
suits; 10) Nurse allergies to land ownderhsip; 11) Tend to die off when
exposed to civiliation; 12) Work from home.

Btw, if you want to watch a good, clean, fun, silly movie in which HGs cross
paths with civilized man, checkout "The Gods Must be Crazy II". If you
haven't seen "The Gods Must be Crazy I", see that one first.
Paleo-entertainment is free: You should be able to get them from the
library.

Comments from the peanut (macadamia?) gallery?

Rachel :-)
