Hi Gayle,
The cravings for grains are even easier to understand. The partial digests
of some gluten and dairy proteins behave like morphine (dubbed exorphins)
when they reach the nervous system/brain. In genetically susceptible people,
gluten causes increased zonulin production which causes the tight epithelial
junctions in the gut and the blood brain barrier to relax. This allows these
larger exorphin molecules access to the bloodstream and the brain. The
craving for what you characterize as a "full" feeling is most likely a
craving for exorphins. Unfortunately, these food-derived exorphins may also
be a contributing factor in much of today's high rates of cancer.

Best Wishes,
Ron
