original.
Look, for example, at strawberries at the Piggly Wiggly versus
strawberries
in the wild. If you haven't seen wild strawberries, they're tiny
compared
to the supermarket variety. The same shape and color but somewhere
between
the size of a raisin and a marble. Bigger and sweeter = more
carbohydrates.
I don't know if this means genetically modified, but I think
"fiddled
 with" would describe them.

it is sad to not be able to buy original forms of fruits/veggies at
the
store...i wonder
if there are any there at all....i have been checking in to buying
some
heirloom seeds for my garden in order to try and have as
original/natural
plant matter as possible.
i am also researching native plants in my area...South Texas...in
order to
find natural/unadulterated plants to eat.
people have been "fiddling" with plants for a long time...remember
Mendel and
the pea plants....maybe it is part of human evolution to alter our
food
sources, who knows? just musing :)
