I didn't think you were disparaging NThin. Ray and I have talked to a few
people who have had difficulty losing weight on NThin. Usually they are in
some kind of dietary rut. If you're eating 50 to 75 grams of carbohydrates
every day, you might try going towards a ketogenic ("winter") diet for a few
days. (In the 3rd edition of NThin, Ray recommends the 48-hour ketogenic
diet for people having difficulty losing weight.)

You have to keep in mind that we're dealing with individuals here. Genetics
play a role in weight loss. Ray is a perfect example of someone who doesn't
have to work out at all. He can eat unlimited calories and stay under 6%
body fat. I can put on body fat if I eat too many carbs while eating a
high-fat diet. Fifty to seven-five grams of carbs may be too much for you.
You might want to try the Di Pasquale approach (www.metabolicdiet.com), in
which you eat less than 30 grams of carbs per weekday and virtually
unlimited carbs on the weekend--all this while pursuing a regular exercise
program. It seems obvious that what you're doing now isn't working for you.
The very-low-carb approach is worth a shot.
