Related to this is the phobia of thinking one needs to wear sunglasses
every time they are out of doors. One thing that amazes me is the high
percentage of people on the NYC subways that are wearing sunglasses in the
morning. It can often be 50% of the people in a car wearing glasses.
The only time sunglasses make sense is when one is in an unnatural
situation. To me these are: on the water, on the beach, and driving into
the sun. The first two are not natural places for humans to be, and the
third is a forced situation. Were a paleo human walking towards the sun
they would just look down, not an option for a car driver. Oh yes, I can
think of a fourth situation. Being at a sports event and being on the side
that faces the sun.
