It's a stereotype that lowcarb diets cause constipation.  People 
routinely forget that lowcarb diets may well include lots of vegetable 
matter.  If they don't, bowel movements may become less frequent, a 
condition that is not due to constipation but may be mistaken for it.  
We excrete very little protein and fat, so if we are eating mostly meat 
there's just not much there.
