I would say that in the case you have a problem with carbohydrate food,
like onsetting diabetes or insulin resistance,
it would give you the chance to change your nutrition with most carbs
replaced by fat.
This gives you the chance to escape the carb/insulin vivious cycle.

As Todd pointed out this could be done with some seeds as well, but with
meat it could be done easily.
Fat, as an energy source is devoid of protein and most micronutrients.
Together with meat you can use simple fat as a rather complete basic food.
