Arthur McConnachie writes re: Robert McGlohon's inquiry if fasting is paleo?
Fasting is paleo, whether it is for a day or for months.
McConnachie contends fasting beyond one day is not beneficial.
I have successfully conducted and supervised the fasting of thousands of
people and animals, with all kinds of problems, from one day to months.
A water fast is a physiological rest for the body, mind and spirit.
Every living being can benefit from a physiological rest.
Unfortunately most people who water fast do not do so properly. They do not
physiologically rest during their water fast. That is why many who water fast
do not derive the optimum benefits that one can derive from a proper water
fast.
A proper water fast is done thusly.
Lie down in bed. Close your eyes. Do not talk. Keep yourself immobile. Ingest
only as much water as thirst demands. Ingest nothing else but water.
Meditate, concentrate, feel and think on whatever symptoms are produced by
one's inherent intelligence until one is asymptomatic or until one is
genuinely hungry. Genuine hunger is not a psychological appetite nor a
misunderstanding of what hunger is. Genuine hunger is similar to thirst. One
feels it in the mouth and the back of the throat. Any other description of
hunger is pathological or physiologically dysfunctional.
Watch a dog, cat, bear, bat, etc., when they fast. They fast as I have
described herein.
You are beautiful. I love you.
