I recently heard an interview about some parrots that live in
southeastern
Peru and are notable for dining on dirt. Many people chew clay. There
are
minerals and what not contained therein. Many of the over the counter
medicines for gastrointestinal distress contain the same minerals and
what
not. This was a National Geographic radio piece. What is know about
hunter-gatherer's clay and dirt eating habits?
