Two points:

(1) After his first book, Sears subsequently discovered that there seems to be a
"floor" of protein requirements for humans, regardless of size, and so he upped
the minimum protein requirement for smaller women to 77 grams (11 blocks).

(2) There is no exact ratio of C/P/F in any of Sears' books. The term
"40/30/30" was popularized by Ann Gittleman in a widely distributed cheap
paperback. The actual Zone diet, as explained by Sears, requires you to adjust
the ratios depending on whether you are hungry or not, and by whether you are
mentally foggy or not. This was ignored by most people, because 98% of people
who do a particular diet do NOT read any book describing the diet. (I have
absolutely no doubt that there are plenty of people in this list who have never
read either Ray's book or an Eades book.)

PS There is such a thing as "Paleo Zone" which has been advocated by some
people on the web...
