I have heard that doing strength training on an empty stomach
helps to maximize the release of growth hormone in response to
the exercise, which also implies that you shouldn't eat
immediately after, either.  But this is just a memory floating in
my head, and I can vouch even less for its accuracy than I can
for my other musings.
