I don't eat raw but I do eat rare beef and lamb and I don't like either if
it's cooked any other way.  That being said, I will cook a piece of meat
longer if it's getting "too ripe".....  This is not an intellectual thing
that I do. This is what my senses "tell" me to do.  Maybe this was the
reason for cooking meat. I can see a paleolithic woman smelling the meat
from which she intended to make jerky but got sidetracked and decided it was
better to braise it first.... Maybe the baby wouldn't eat it cold.  Who
knows?  I have to eat according to what is right for me at the time.....
