Hi Cairo,

that sounds like the advice of some typical doc. or air-head naturopath.
for one thing, if you eat paleo you will get enough fibre from the
vegetables, dried fruits, nuts etc. no need for more here.

the other thing is that yes, those grains are far removed from paleo
foods. they look great in a bird seed container, but in your gut they
are treated the same as any other non evolutionary grain and partly
broken down as best they can in the intestines. 
since they are not wheat, rice or oats, new agey docs and naturopaths
think they are better.. actually they're the same thing.
