"It seems to me that the Celebrex has a kind of reverberation effect. When I
take
it, my arthritis feels worse when the Celebrex wears off than it did before
I
started taking it. It's been about 6 days since I stopped, and I feel better
than I did on days 1,2, & 3."

I have noticed this as well and I would say it's probably due to some
prostaglandin feedback mechanism in the body or something along those lines.
I haven't explored nsaid's in detail but i'd imagine whatever is being
inhibited by them to kill pain tends to be very DE-inhibited to an even
greater extent once their effects wear off. It's gotten to the point where
I haven't taken celebrex, Vioxx, or any other NSAID in 6 months despite my
Dr. giving me a free supply because another thing I have noticed is that
when I take them I invariably get weak and start to lose muscle size and
strength. Being an athlete I find this unacceptable so now I just take a
lot of fish oils and pay strict attention to food selection. I have noticed
that dairy products were/are a big contributor to my arthritic symptoms even
though I feel perfectly fine when consuming them. Other foods make me feel
like an absolute wreck but don't seem to affect my joints. Curious whether
anyone else with arthritis has noticed anything along these lines?
