| I had a diet lemonade tonight at a Subway...something i have not had n
many years, and it seemed to taste very sweet. Does this artificial
sweetener, and I assume they use Nutrasweet, make my body think it is like
sugar and react similarly?

The Hellers (Carbohydrate Addicts...) write that artificial sweeteners
trigger a similar insulin response following ingestion of an artificial
sweetener. Without the sugar, insulin causes blood sugar levels to fall
causing low blood sugar symptoms.
